I got out in 96 and my pay as a MCpl (no spec pay but maxes as a Mcpl) was about 37K per year. How much was the increase in 97 for pay as zero sum mentions a huge increase? This makes no difference to what SISIP pays me. Good for me that the govt made the minimum pay 40K a few years ago - gives me a bit more per month. not long ago, the military had the pay scales going all the way back to the 70's or 60's but can't find it anymore. does anyone know if it still exists but maybe i just cant find it??

What if one's pay was prior to the huge pay raise in 97? Would they adjust accordingly or just toss those into a group with a higher base amount since their last service pay...you would think in all fairness they would do that...I mean adjust accordingly, not just lump you into a smaller pay-rate group.

Birdy, what's the hold-up on your birdhouse? Perch not properly aligned? Wink

Zero, what it states is that the minimum SISIP benefit is calculated as if you were receiving a basic Cpl pay, so 75% of $40K. but for anyone whose pre-release pay was higher, then that is what it is based off of. My pay in 2006 was over $56000, so my monthly SISIP benefit, before deductions, was just over $3500.

SISIP's rate of pay now is that of a basic corporal. If you read the paperwork they sent when you were reinstated, it clearly shows it.

Birdy, are you still in a trailer? Like the blue toilet water or something? lol

30 days to register your dispute of Sisip's calculations with Laura Bruneau ~you don't need the entire papertrail of evidence within the 30 days but please register your appeal if you intend to within those days.

Yes, but did that include any environmental pay,or PLD, because SISIP is based just on your base salary. You could always call the release centre and ask them what your annual salary upon release was. If it is higher than what SISIP is saying, have them send you a paper copy, and put a redress in right away. If you don't do anything now, it will stick in your mind until one day you decide to check if you were right, and then it will be too late to fix it.

I believe my yearly salary in 2009 is over $63,000 and SISIP has it between $62,000 and $63,000.

Well, I know that your current 75% mark is close to $3960, because I was also a maxed of Leading Seaman, spec 1, and when I was approved for EELB last summer the starting point was approx $3900. So going back 3 years, might lower that by $200/month or so.

I could have told you your monthly rates, but go figure that DND would alter their website this month and remove all the historical CF pay rates, just when they would be needed the most.

I live in the city next to the base that I retired at. I have contacted a friend and he is taking care of it.

Thanks

firebird, if you are able to access a military base you can go to the Release Section at HQ and they can assist you with getting a copy of your documents by contacting your release base and going from there.
