Re: VIP SERVICES ARE YOU GETTING WHAT YOU ARE ENTITLED TOO
Has the VIP process changed or something? 2 years ago a claim or ELB stuff triggered a CSA to call me for a VIP app. It took less than 10 minutes for her to plug my answers into her program over the phone and I was denied.
My sit. has definitely changed, so I applied again last May, but forget how I did it. They mailed me a preprinted application from Matane. 3 month's and counting vs 10 minutes? Progress?
Best I can figure, Matane is taking over lots of STUFF since 1 - 2 years ago.?

Re: VIP SERVICES ARE YOU GETTING WHAT YOU ARE ENTITLED TOO
All above post are correct , it will come in the mail as a questionnaire , a straight forward questionnaire form that is totally different then what was asked in your initial application.
The reason for this is to ensure that they know if your condition - or conditions have worsen , in the event that your answers prove to have no change , you will not hear from them , if you report a problem - or worsen activity , they will have someone contact you , more then likely by phone.
I know this as it has happen to me where I stated a problem an was contacted by my CM to deal with the problem.
This is the first year I have not gotten the questionnaire , they have now changed sending out the questionnaire from yearly , to every three years , if something comes up , an you need answers - or help , your to contact them.

VIP approved...
After being approved for VIP I understand that a yearly evaluation will take place. Under the current system will this be a telephone interview with the same questions asked as were for the initial application.
Any other info for this new to me benefit would be appreciated.
Thanks

Re: VIP SERVICES ARE YOU GETTING WHAT YOU ARE ENTITLED TOO
That's what I did for ADL's recently because I moved. 866 told me what to tell my doctor to write on the prescripition. Easy peasy that way, no grief or out of pocket expenses. Checks and balances come to mind. It also helps if you go to the same store, pharmacy, shop where they know you.
Funniest thing though, some days I have to educate the pharmicist/asst... pinger.

Re: VIP SERVICES ARE YOU GETTING WHAT YOU ARE ENTITLED TOO
thanks for your response Teentitan, yeah I was gonna call them anyway to confirm, regardless I will be purchasing the item as it does help for the pain. I was just curious if it was maybe... possibly.... "no if it is on your POC you are allowed the purchase". Should have known it is never that simple.
thanks
thanks
