Re: Assorted Merged Stored Topics
Well, I just read the ELB application form and declarations, and nowhere does it say that the department reserves the right to monitor your health situation, or activities, to ensure that continuation on the program is warranted. So without such a declaration on the only form that I signed to receive ELB, the department does not have any legal authority to monitor, or photograph me while I am walking my dog, or out with my family, even if it only validates my position. Even out in the public, there is a reasonable expectation of personal privacy, and there have been individuals and companies that have been found taking photographs of people without their permission, and have been sued for breach of privacy. Even movie companies know this and is why, even when filming crowded streets, nobody will walk in front of that camera without first giving permission to use their image, and signing a waiver.

So funny, I love you guys, my apologies for not posting, my phone isn't able to post, and sitting at the computer just long enough to reply to emails. I just haven't been well since I opened that envelope, (just joking) have not even gone on a shopping spree, been so ill. You guys are keeping me smiling though thank you.

It was explained to me that if a person files a claim then his/her consent is "implied" already and an insurance company or surveillant or defendant for instance can take a picture of that person while in public

Re: Assorted Merged Stored Topics
I few years ago when I was living in Canada, I had caught a guy taking pictures of me just walking. I asked my lawyer to investigate him and found out he worked for insurance companies. I would say I am not the only one who got his picture taken unknowingly. But it did not stop me from doing anything I wanted to do, and if he took pics of me then that just supported my claims. I've advised many people however to not have a facebook account or just have a plain generic resume type one - even employers look at that stuff when hiring

Re: Assorted Merged Stored Topics
So this is the way I view CSAT Legal. So lets say Navrat's charge with harassment on June 10th 2013. He is charged with harassing two purolator drivers. So he will be defended by Supreme. The crown prosecutor would be zero sum. Stenographer is Sparrow. Court sheriffs are Robbie Royal, and Refleman. Court clerk Widow of Veteran. So who is the Judge ( Bigrex )

Re: Assorted Merged Stored Topics
Robbie, that is and excellent heads up post, thanks for posting it, it is and important reminder for all. May I just add that CPP, has it's own investigators also, just for that reason, to check certain recipients on CPPD. The one guy that got caught cross country skiing in Ontario, while collecting CPPD, this guy was receiving CPPD for his back, and had to pay all of his five or so years back. Now we must keep in mind that certain factors would play a role, as to who these investigators would investigate, your diagnose, and or your diagnoses, determines who they will investigate, however you nailed it when you talked about ( facebook ) and social media, that makes the investigators job easy, extremely easy. So your post is of great importance to us all, and I for one will take caution with respect to the public media, not that I have anything to hide, just cautious is all, we all know how some are quick to judge, you know the type, the ones that like to play doctor.
