I read the site. Doesnt sound like something I'd support. Perhaps and honest effort.. but I'll keep my nickels for something a little more organized.

Re: Disabled Veterans Support Canada (DVSC)
I know. Anybody could call themselves a Veteran's group, and sit there and steal money, given in good faith. I think that VAC should investigate any organization claiming to collect money for Veterans, and keep a list on their website of accredited groups. So if you see someone claiming to represent a particular group, you can call that group to ensure that they are indeed out there collecting money.

Re: Disabled Veterans Support Canada (DVSC)
I saw some guy set up with a table in a safeway about 6 months ago, he said he was a veteran looking for money for some organization, I just kept walking, I wish I could remember the acronym but he seemed fishy to me.bigrex wrote:I just had a guy supposedly representing this organization come to my door looking for a donation. When I said that I've never hear of it before, and that I am a severely disabled Veteran, he kind of took a step back from asking for money. He handed me a printed off pamphlet, with a phone number in Toronto, and there is a website, but that can be done by anyone. I want to know if anyone else had heard of this organization, or should i call the police to report a conman?
