Bigrex, here is some information on DVSC i found apparently they are a “division” of Rainbow Seniors Support which is a registered charity.

Rainbow Seniors Support (North York)
Other Names: Disabled Veterans Support Canada

https://chimp.net/charities/rainbow-seniors-support-north-york

and there DVSC cached web page below saying division of on right side (interesting that this was removed from their main site)

http://www.dvsc.ca/story.html

http://www.rainbowseniors.com/home.html

and the CRA registered charity link

When i checked the phone number and address on the web i found the following as well (its old but interesting that the number and address are the same)

I read the site. Doesnt sound like something I'd support. Perhaps and honest effort.. but I'll keep my nickels for something a little more organized.

I know. Anybody could call themselves a Veteran's group, and sit there and steal money, given in good faith. I think that VAC should investigate any organization claiming to collect money for Veterans, and keep a list on their website of accredited groups. So if you see someone claiming to represent a particular group, you can call that group to ensure that they are indeed out there collecting money.

I want to know if anyone else had heard of this organization, or should i call the police to report a conman?
I saw some guy set up with a table in a safeway about 6 months ago, he said he was a veteran looking for money for some organization, I just kept walking, I wish I could remember the acronym but he seemed fishy to me.
