Information about PSA Test Reimbursement Empty Information about PSA Test Reimbursement

Just some info about the PSA (Prostate-Specific Antigen) Test.

If you are being monitored by a doctor for prostate treatment and wants regular PSA tests you can submit your bill to VAC if you are a 'B' client, or it's a pensioned condition. BUT you must have the test done at a hospital.

If you are not a 'B' client or pensioned for a prostate injury the PSHCP (Sun Life Insurance) will reimburse 80% of your bill IF you are being monitored by a doctor for prostate problems.

If it is just a yearly screening test VAC and Sun Life will not reimburse. So save the receipt and submit it with your yearly medical tax calculation. Remember you are allowed to claim up to $11,000/year on medical expenses such as prescption drugs, glasses, dentures, monthly payments to PSHCP medical and dental, massage therapy, chiropractor etc.
