Re: CF pay increase
Red, this is only announcing an increase to the allowances, not the pay, dammit. Guess I still have to wait.
However, when a retro pay increase is done and you are released before it is announced, you do get the backpay and your pension is recalculated. That is what they did for my hubby when he released.

Re: CF pay increase
Yes, anyone still serving even if retired should get the backpay.
As for pensions, it only indirectly affects them for the people still serving. Because your CFSA is based on so many years and how much you were paid.
But for those already in receipt of a CFSA or VAC monthly pension, this will not affect the amount at all. For those in receipt of CFSA, the only increase's it get's are the annual increase of the CPI which grossly underestimates the real inflation. And for a VAC monthly pension, unless your disability % goes up, then the only increase to that will be the same as the one for CFSA - the annual CPI rate.

Re: CF pay increase
The pay increases are retro active to 2014 according to the press release. So for those recently released they "should" be retroactively paid the difference the same way that those that are still serving (they are getting retro-active lump sums). This would also effect pension calculations. Sadly, what "should" happen will likely "not" happen!

Re: CF pay increase
No. Has nothing to do with it. Our pensions are increased by the annual Stats Can CPI rate

If the CF get a pay increase , does that impact our pension in a positive way?
