EXCLUSIVE: Trudeau Liberals leave $372M meant to help veterans unspent since taking office

Veterans Affairs employee bonuses should be de-linked from monies taken(given back to Treasury Canada) from Veterans programs.

Any employee (anywhere) told, that there was a bonus tied to saying 'No' in denying services, decisions, or the deny/appeal/repeat cycle, would it not be an abuse of authority, instead of business as normal.

yup straight out of the gates they did improve things . however if my memory is correct no where even close to what their promises eluded to when pandering for our votes . so instead of doing the right thing they threw peanuts at us relatively speaking . but wait there's more ;;; they are gonna want those peanuts back .

in my short and long term memory I recall time and again where government after government has made " IMPROVEMENTS " that cost veterans huge piles of money .

hey look at the new " IMPROVEMENTS " coming into effect april first all future vets will receive less in benefits than those before them. gotta get some of those peanuts back .

are we better off as a whole ? yup a little . at least till the next round of " IMPROVEMENTS " .

BUT HEY at least those future vets with allergy issues will be welcomed into a peanut free environment .

Things has got better, but i still thing both side are holding back, and that not right.

It seems people have short memories. In 2014, it was reported that the Tories failed to spend 1.1 billion over seven years, with 8.1% of their budget left unspent in one year. I'm not saying the Liberals have been perfect on our file, far from it. But they have done things to our file, that neither of the other parties would have done, like increase the ELB, and making it so severely disabled Veterans can work part time, without it affecting their benefits, instead of making us feel like we are stuck staying at home, or risk losing everything. So with the new PFL being implemented before the election, it's up to the other parties to come up with a plan to improve on those benefits, to court the Veteran votes.

I can smell turd, sweet bonuses for VAC and bureaucrats who 'saved' the $$$.

It's pretty Sad when Vets cannot count on Federal Government to do the right thing
