PTSD Empty Re: PTSD

I was diagnosed with PTSD then 3 months later, I was diagnosed with Obsessive Compulsive related to my PTSD (all service related).  My pensioned conditions were 'bracketed under PTSD' and I was approved at the standard 10% in 2005. After my long waited review/appeal, I now received 76% of 5/5 = 76% under the pension act.  My medical rating review completed by VAC for my PTSD pension was increased last week but I don't know at what percentage yet. I was told the decision was favourable and that I will receive my Decision Letter soon in the mail.

FYI, you can also be approved for benefits if you're dignosed with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and related disorders without having PTSD as long as its service related.  Very Happy

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

PTSD Empty PTSD

Post by daverobitaille@rogers.com Fri 18 Oct 2019, 12:56

Just curious here. I was diagnosed with Obsessive compulsive personality underlaying PTSD. The specialist said that it is related to my service due to the millitary structure and training. She is recommending treatment with concealing.
What are my chances to be approved for PTSD with a 10% or so. Anyone with a similar situation?
Thanks!
