l think it may have to do with false sexual harassment or pTsd claims, there are situations which may or may not have occurred , how does one really prove those type of injuries if there are no witness, there is really only the veterans word and the write up of the psychiatristRubicon wrote:Today's Canadian Press article makes me question how in the hell I or anyone can submit a false/fraudent VAC disability claim? Aren't claims either valid with a 5B medical release from the military and backed by physician evidence (both military and civilian) and in some instances specialist doctor's evidence? Yes, some claims are denied because they do not meet a certain threshold but are they false/fraudulent. It is quite evident by the manner and speed in which monies are pouring out of government coffers during this pandemic that veterans truly are second-hand citizens in this country.

EzRider - I agree with you there. I gave er 24 yrs. I’m not sure if someone sat my 18 yr old self down and said yr going to get injuries, both physical and mental. But being 18 we wouldn’t listen back then. But now when I come across a yng person who is thinking of joining I tell them the truth. Yr going to get injured, and yr chances of seeing things that will haunt you for life are real. It saddens me that all governments, do not take better care of us, at the end of the line..Just my thoughts for today..Stay well Brothers and Sisters. VVV...

I have a claim from oct 2018 that they "Lost" some paperwork so the doctor had to resubmit in march 2019. Through no fault of ours, we now are looking at a 2 year wait for 1 single claim?? I mean its great they can get money into peoples hands in a week with this CERB thing, but if you are a veteran, its "Sorry its 2 years..."
This culture of deny and make us wait till we die off is horrible. I would like to go back to my 18 year old self who was eager and wanting to serve, slap him upside the head and show him the facts of what happens when your country turns its back on its veterans.
I really hope i'm wrong, but i don't think this government would ever auto approve claims when they can just make us wait for this long and hope we die so they don't have to pay out a claim.
I hear ya on the waiting, next week will be the anniversary of my claim sitting at the decision making level. Might call just to see if they can find it.
I joined at 19 myself and drank the kool-aid driving the body and shooting the foot, giving 110% as they say. In hindsight, I would have made better choices and saved some of myself for me.

Today's Canadian Press article makes me question how in the hell I or anyone can submit a false/fraudent VAC disability claim?
