Re: Sexual Misconduct Update
"Thank you for the info!
Not sure where you got the info that they are still waiting for VAC to complete pension applications related to Cat C, but.....a good find! Unfortunately that means waiting for VAC to do what they have to can be years!"
I got the information regarding VAC application timeline from my regional Class counsel. They also stated that adjudicators are working on some late claims that were granted an extension and they are hoping for a 2023 end date

7.20 Initial and Final Distribution of Approved Payments
All Eligible Class Members eligible for compensation shall be paid $5,000.00 (the "Initial
Payment") as soon as reasonably practicable following verification that they will qualify for
compensation in Categories A, B or C.
Should the Administrator find that a Class Member is eligible for additional compensation pursuant
to Categories B or C, the Initial Payment will be deducted from the total amounts assessed as
payable to that Eligible Class Member, resulting in an additional payment to be paid through a
final distribution (the "Additional Payment").
If at any time after the Implementation Date, it appears that the total amounts assessed for the
Initial Payments will exceed the Aggregate Compensation Cap, the Administrator will have the
discretion to direct that these payments be suspended until the Claims Period ends. If after the
Individual Application Deadline, the total amounts assessed for the Initial Payments exceeds the
Aggregate Compensation Cap, the Initial Payments that have not yet been paid will be prorated
and no Additional Payments will be made to Class Members.
In that event, the remaining Initial Payments shall be calculated by dividing the remaining funds
by the number of Eligible Class Members to be paid.

Re: Sexual Misconduct Update
I have contacted the company who is doing the claims. They are unwilling to provide an estimate.
If one goes to the site, it shows: The total number of claims received by the Administrator; Total number of claims approved for initial payment and/or paid; and Total number of claimants requesting to participate in Restorative Engagement.
The "Total number of claims received by the Administrator" is continuously still going up every day (according to the counter). So it is safe to presume they are still vetting the claims.
As they won't give a time-frame.....sit back and wait. And once all the claims have been vetted, they have to wait for the appeals and go through those.
