Yes DCHD you are missing something. It has been said many, many, many times on the CSAT lawyer fees are the LAST thing brought up by our lawfirm as a "request" to Judge Barnes on how much they want to be paid.

Their request will be included in the final agreement that will be sent to each member of the class. At that time you can talk about the lawyer fees.

To talk about it now is a waste of time and only winds people up for NO REASON.

The same for taxes and interest. Peter has been as honest as he is allowed to be with us. So if we do not know taxes and interest it's probably because of the following:

1. DoJ/Toope have not agreed to release the info
2. DoJ/Toope and Peter are still negotiating what each will be

So again why talk about it now because all it does is wind people up for NO REASON.

Well, we know that the fees will not be decided by the negotiations, So they'll have to wait until the judge makes his decision, and we can only hope that he decides that either the government pays them, or the rate is reasonable, so as not to deprive us any further. But now that the zero sum clients are going to get paid, the lawyers can spend the majority of the next 50+ days getting those details sorted out before seeing the judge.

I think one thing the judge should be made aware of is even though SISIP would not restart any payments without direction, they should have at least spent the last several months identifying those clients who could be reinstated, getting any required medical information from them. They have known for several months that we had won and that one of the main things the lawyers were seeking was reinstatement of clients who were completely disabled but had their files closed because of the clawback. Waiting until now to say that paperwork needs to be submitted and reviewed, further delaying payment is unacceptable, and further evidence that the GoC and their agents are acting in bad faith.
