Re: RDSP for VETS
Believe it or not I am permanently disabled in SISIP's eyes, I am permanently disabled in CPP D's eys BUT Canada Revenue Agency says I am not. Why? I can walk 100 meters. Terrain and temperature are not factors and oh if I can walk it in under an hour that's good too.
Well in the immortal words of that great poet and singer Meatloaf...Two out of three ain't bad.

Re: RDSP for VETS
Correct me here but to qualify to contribute to a RDSP you have to be eligible for the disability tax credit so though your idea is good that is one restriction

the part you contribute is tax free however the ammount the goc puts in and the interest you make is taxable.

Re: RDSP for VETS
i belive this program started in 2008 and if you have missed on contributing to it you can go back that far if you wish right now.

Re: RDSP for VETS
For me , try to have as little paper assets as possible at age 67, too many clawbacks, and if you need nursing home care, the goc takes all your money anyway. Buy gold, hide it , tell no one, nothing on paper
