Thanks Dove, the bottom line approx 64% of full amount will help many figure +/- what they net will be. Nav, you were correct when you said Peter said approx 60% take home....

bigrex wrote:Dove, thanks for the info, but please tell us, what is the percentage of the final amount versus the gross amount after interest.
Ok...Please do not quote or beat me up if this is wrong. I added and subtracted.
The "Full amount" is: Retro (Gross offset amount) plus the tax adjustment (Tax gross up) plus the interest on Gross offset.
The money in my bank account is what I received. (withholdings for taxes, payment of legal fees etc.)
I received approx. 64% of the "full amount".

I can say that the lawyers fees are 8% of the retro (Gross offset amount) plus the tax adjustment (Tax gross up) plus the interest on Gross offset.

Re: Heres hoping today's your day!
Sorry bigrex just a lucky person with a cheque. My Dad is the accountant of the family.
I will wait for the next lucky person to get a cheque and maybe they can figure out the rest of the numbers. I tried to explain some stuff elsewhere and I am not having much luck. Too many numbers and I do not wish to scan and post my paperwork.
