The progress so far does have me concerned. Last month I posted that if they only met a daily quota of 55 files completed per working day, they would be finish on the 21st of October, one week past the given 6 month time frame. But the 55 per day would have seen 1210 files completed in the month of May. So seeing as they didn't reach that number, and as far as we can tell, not very many reinstated class members were processed. With the complexity of their files, I can only see the pace slowing down as more of the reinstated member's files start popping up. This does not bode well for those of us remaining.

I honestly am in shock. I would have thought that the government and SISIP would not allow this to take the full 6 months, and that by three months, most if not all, would have been paid except for the few extreme cases. But at this point they will be lucky to reach a 35% completion rate by the half way mark.

FNC1A1 ,& Points to All Members ............i have a reply from Peter this morning

1....... Zero - Sum members will be paid for June to Oct. 2012 plus interest , plus tax gross up " Direct " from Manulife . " No " deduction for Legal fees . Separate checks will go out at the samr time as the " Refund Checks "


2....... We , along with the Court appointed monitor , continue to closely watch Manulife's progress . We are advised they are committed to getting refunds done in 6 months as per the Court Order . We , like the members , are concerned with progress to date but can only continue to press at this time . We are focusing on turningthe refunds around in 5 days when received and ensuring the Calculations are Correctly Completed .
          An extention of the 6 month period under the Order would require the GOC to apply to Court for an amendment . From the information received to date , all parties want this done in 6 months and are working to meet the Deadline .

Old news confirmed by MC then,

Government already agreed in the case conference last week that interest and tax gross up would be applied to the four missing months on those already processed,

and that the missing funds would be sent through MC rather than they were going to do, by sending them directly to members,

the government had decided those funds were not affected by the fee structure as set up for MC to take from, and had decided they were going to send them separately,

In short, what is yet to be clarified in the next meeting is if fee's may be applied to those funds by MC.

That was faulking funny guys because I have a running joke with my boys down the road about hero shots wearing maroon t-shirts and now that I think about its I can't wear that damn t- shirt either i am buffer now, wink wink nudge nudge, but I did spend 10'years wearing that lovely colour and if ya wear one you wear one it matters only if you can't cough up the coin in a heavily populated bar, that's when it sucks.
