Re: Earnings Loss Benefit (ELB) Increase to 90%
Firebird, you are correct that it is not fair, so until we hear otherwise, we have to assume that SISIP will also increase, but it may not happen at the same time.

Re: Earnings Loss Benefit (ELB) Increase to 90%
It is still unfair. What about people who are not approved for both ELB and LTD? Start applying everyone for VAC ELB.

firebird, since you are approved for both, even if SISIP isn't increased right away, ELB will pay you the 15% difference.

Re: Earnings Loss Benefit (ELB) Increase to 90%
My question is this , will SISIP LTD benefits also increase to 90% as this would be unfairness if not? I was denied SISIP LTD benefits , was granted VAC ELB benefits then won my SISIP LTD appeal through the Class Action Law suit. So now I receive SISIP LTD instead of VAC ELB.

Re: Earnings Loss Benefit (ELB) Increase to 90%
That's correct K9 , it is 90% of a senior privates salary.
The only other change is that it will no longer be capped at 2 per cent and would keep pace with inflation.
This to began this October.

The drop from Cpl basic to Private 3S.
Are the having discutions at the table about that?

Stretched out???? Also known as a work in progress.
I'm rolling on the floor lol !!!
Bureaucrats don't eat newfie steak or kraft dinner.
What I want to know is WHO these slippery sob bureaucrats are?
Hell, their resumes would be entertaining for starters...

I agree lots of fame going on especially with our MVA.
I'm wondering why it is they can come up with the funds for the refugees , this ASAP.
I could be wrong but to be honest I think the work on our file is being stretched out to coincide with the last few Months of the Liberal term.
This to keep those bureaucrats going for at least four years.

I'm sorry I voted at all. Smoke and mirrors. The Libs can't even pay for evrything this year cause they need more time....and money lol. They're too busy traveling and partying and getting they're own pay raises. The Libs are a wash in my eyes. Will not vote for any government party....they're all a bunch of cheating lying sob's. I couldn't careless about 75-90%. Couldn't careless about the increase of 360,000. They haven't fixed anything. They suck Harry nut balls.

Re: Earnings Loss Benefit (ELB) Increase to 90%
Yes, they will take the total of your ELB, CIA and CIAS, subtract 30% to get the RISB. They then deduct 100% of your CIA and CIAS from that reduced amount, as well as CFSA, CPP and OAS, to get the actual RISB payment, if there is anything left. I think it works out that after the CIA/CIAS is deducted, it equates to roughly 60% of your ELB benefit, before any of the other deductions are made. Obviously the effects of this will be mitigated if they do bring back the tax free monthly disability pension, but it will still be a loss of around $1500-$2000/month from my calculations.

Re: Earnings Loss Benefit (ELB) Increase to 90%
As new as the RISB is, not sure if it will still be be around when I hit 65. Can't even remember if it'll be taxed.
About the 75% come 90%. If we get the extra dime I hope we don't lose it somewhere else.
Giving on one hand and taking with the other (from where?) can be very creative slight of hand. Old news.
Just speculating short of October. Maybe the dimes in the deficit. Time will tell, till then I won't trust shyte until I'm... in it.

Re: Earnings Loss Benefit (ELB) Increase to 90%
For the most correct, except there is a lot of deductions for RISB , I believe old age security but I've heard a lot of complaints regarding the RISB , it's a lot less than people were led to believe! Oh I believe the cfsa is deducted also.
