No, I believe that has to do with how much of the injury or illness is related to service. A lot of vets are flat out denied despite having numerous doctor reports or evidence to back up there claim. A back injury for instance can be hard to prove as backs aren't necessarily hurt in one instance but overtime. Any injury that happens over time I think VAC gives you more of a Hassel.

isnt that 1/5 to 5/5 ruling VAC s way of dealing with benefit of the doubt?Teager wrote:Well it isn't that difficult to begin with. If VAC just followed there own rules such as benefit of the doubt goes to the veteran then things would be faster. If VAC didn't spend so much time trying to disprove a vets claim things would be faster. There are just a lot of small things they could easily eliminate and the process could be much more efficient and better serving to the veteran.

Hard to know.... hire more people but then who do they hire? People that don't have a clue about medical conditions. I don't know how they cane fix the problem but it's unacceptable as is.

Re: Are reassessment times faster or the same?
Cant say for sure. But I have been waiting 20 weeks for a reassessment of my condition under the Pension Act.
Claims have increased substantially and they can't keep up. Think it is time they outsourced this process. Just so unacceptable to be waiting this long.
