There is no longer a gag order. Judges always take time to reflect on arguments that occurred at the court. He has to write a decision now. This will take time as it was never a done deal. He needs to ensure he gets the law right on all the key desenting points that have a good argument in law. And remember this is a huge payout. He has to get his reasons right or trip on a appeal.

Thats all that was sent out in the email I rec'd. I'm sure if you contact the law firm they might beable to get you the transcript of the hearing

Since MC was able to get an update out today, maybe they could lend Judge Barnes the people they used for translation and we might get the decission sooner

The Settlement Approval Hearing was held before the Federal Court on February 14 and 15, 2013 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The Court heard from Class Counsel, many Class Members and Government Counsel. The Honourable Justice Barnes said that he reviewed all written submissions made by Class Members.The Honourable Justice Barnes indicated he would release his decision, in both English and French, in a matter of weeks. We will inform all Class Members as soon as the decision is released.Class Counsel would like to thank all Class Members who made either written or oral submissions to the Court.
