Re: CPPD/SISIP
Yes, unless you are also getting a private, or other company paid LTD plan, which I doubt.

Re: CPPD/SISIP
Is it just SISIP and the Canadian Forces Pension offices that you have to inform when you are approved CPPD?

Good stuff Firebird , congrats !
If both yourself and Rifleman have not applied for the DTC this might be something for both of you to consider.

Re: CPPD/SISIP
I requested 30% be taken off my CPPD for income tax , on going forward payments. Nothing off the back pay as most of it will pay CF pension back and SISIP back so I can deduct it all on line 232 as repayments.

Re: CPPD/SISIP
Congrats firebird. As one with CPPD, you should call there 1800 #, and get them to take off 15%, as they do not take tax off it. Don't spend any of the backpay, because between what you will owe the CF indexing portion back and backpay to ltd, you may not have much left. But after the dust is settled you are still ahead with it. Just a little advise I got from here, when I got mine, VVV...

CPPD requires that you be almost dead compared to SISP and VAC.
Well I must be almost dead because today I received a letter of approval for CPPD going forward and back pay.

Re: CPPD/SISIP
I received my CPPD application kit in the mail today from CRA. Going to fill it out as per SISIP policy and I hope that I am denied so that SISIP does not get off with paying me less. I do not want CPPD and do not need CPPD just want SISIP to pay all they have to for clawing me back thus resulting in a zero sum and therefore I did not provide any medical documentation which terminated me at the 2 year point. I am taking care of my own financial support after 65.
