Doesn't matter which link I use, both deny me access. Seems like a goofy set-up to me.

The thing with BlueCross website is there are like 2, semi same. the one

http://web.medavie.bluecross.ca/en/index

is NOT the one you want. You want to goto

https://medavie.bluecross.ca/myinfo

I had a heck of a time trying to get the 1st page working, and it was driving me crazy
password wasn't being accepted, or user name..

And just as I was about to Call them, I went Oohh lets try that medavie.bluecross.ca/info
page, entered info and away I went logged into the system.

From what I can remember from talking to one of the CSR, one is like Civilian side, and
the 2nd one /myinfo is the federal Government employee side

Thanks tiger. I've heard of that. It might be worth looking into for my wife and 5 kids. Dental bills get expensive :S

Vet, it is the Public Service Health Care Plan Trust, that is administered by Sun Life assurance. When I got in 2006, I had to get that for the dental plan. I don't know if it is still the same now. The card itself is blue, red and white.

That happened to me the first time I tried to access my account. I called them and they reset my account.

I've tried to access my Blue Cross account multiple times, but every time it says an error has occurred.

If you go to the new category, "List of VAC Benefits" click on "Treatment Benefits" click on the link at the very bottom, this will give you the info your looking for.

Vet, claims for the mileage for anything medical, dental, optometrist etc etc etc. You are right, nobody tells you anything. When I change Dentist, the secretary told me you have two medical insurance, Public Health Care and Bleu Cross, I said yes. She said whatever is not paid by Public Health Care will be paid by Bleu Cross. All I had to do was sign the form.

Thanks tiger. My EELB, PIA/S and TPI is only within the last few months. A call from VAC would've been nice to explain my new benefits... but again, I had to come on the forum to figure out what I'm entitled to. Saw an optometrist and dentist for the first time since 2010 recently, since it is now covered. I should probably claim HRT for those as well. I live about 25km from town, and the mileage really adds up.

Vet1234, yes just put the name and address of the hospital.
Personally I send my travel claims every 6 months, I have two medical appointment a week. You can send in your claim every week if you want to.
With Blue Cross as long as you have a prescription from your Doctor, they will pay. In my case, back brace, heat bag, physio, all my medications, even ADVIL as it seems to work best for my headaches. Blood pressure machine etc etc.
Because I have all B on my card, when I go to the dentist, whatever is not cover by our public health care insurance, it is paid by Blue Cross.
