Re: Decision coming Monday December 4 2017
Don't blame this on PA vets Wildthing!
PA vets were NEVER asked for input, their opinion or were even aware of what was going on.
Albina Guaraneeraie the Liberal VAC Minister in Paul Martin's cabinet back in 2004 was given the policy (NVC) to her from 4/5 of her senior Assistant Deputy Ministers at VAC and she ran with it without consulting ANY veterans.
When PA vets found out about the NVC being brought onto the floor of the HoC we all wanted to have input but they, VAC and Libs, did not want to hear from ANY vet or vet organization. Hell they wouldn't even do an actuarial to back up their promise that the NVC was better then the PA.
In other words they totally shut us out from the discussion.
Do some research before making such an un-educated and insulting comment towards vets that have been fighting this crap legislation since it was brought up on the floor of the HoC.

First off teen I'm not going to argue with you over the past election or who you spoke to it doesn't matter.
Harper micro managed to the point of being a dictator and should have stepped down.
This country needs reform and every veteran and civilian soldier terrorist, jihadist,transvestite,non-gender and snowflake
should write that on the ballot or the last 5 named above will be Canada's future military.
I'm going to say this for the final time and you know I'm correct, if the pa veteran's in a position of power had fought this instead of seeing the extra dollar's in benefits offered to them we wouldn't be in this mess!!!
Anyone arguing against this or removing it only only strengthens the fact.

Don't vote not a problem!
Sit outside a polling booth with a sign that says we don't live in a democratic country. (We know that).
Veteran's also know we lost our rights when we signed and they never will be returned.
For the record Harper was a dictator too.
Wildthing you were one of the very vocal people back in 2015 that said I cannot advocate for veterans because I stated I was voting Conservative not Liberal.
When I did advocate I heard from VAC DM's, ADM's, VAC front line workers, other veteran organizations, Liberal and NDP MP's that held the VAC shadow positions and they all said the same thing when I asked if lifelong tax free pensions would come back or would their party bring it back. The answer was always 'NO" or, and this was from both the NDP and Lib shadow minister, "Until we are the governing party and be vetted into the VAC file a promise like that is not honest and would be inappropriate."
Remember a lot of veterans individually and organizations tried to get answers before the vote on how and what kind of life long pension was being promised and we all got the same answer from the Liberal Party of Canada....nothing. That is why I did not vote for the Libs....their lack of answers to pretty damn simple questions. Funny a lot of advocates I talked to during the election, and after, told me they didn't vote Liberal either because they couldn't get simple answers to their questions about all the veteran promises they made.
So what I'm trying to say is if you don't get an answer to your question from a politician during an election then why should you give them your vote? Isn't the lack of an answer proof they haven't got a clue what they need to do to keep said promise?
Oh and you might want to look up the definition of 'dictator'. If Harper was the dictator you say he is then why and how did he lose the election? Don't dictators always win by a landslide?

Re: Decision coming Monday December 4 2017
How long ago did the government know the decision 2,3.4 week's now.. that's why they offered an option because they dictated the outcome they took our rights away. I have personally had that happen before and I'm not talking about vac decisions. We are all at the mercy of what ever they want to take or shove down our throats!
Watch this option not be an option at all but more like a criminal sentence.

If the majority of veterans are going to blindly follow a politician who openly LIES to the veteran community without forcing said liar to give details keep on bitching because you are only digging veteran issues deeper into the bog.
It is time for veterans to act with dignity and pride and show these politicians our vote can no longer be bought with a lame ass promise.

The government knew the outcome because they wrote it in my opinion.
Don't know why enlistment contract was never argued on our behalf.
As far as voting never again for me, there is no honor in Ottawa only liars crooks and thieves.
I'm not even mad been dealt so much injustice it's become common practice after all there is no justice when your living under a dictatorship.

Your absolutely right they knew the outcome before it was even handed down, I think they think we are stupid.
Social Media full speed ahead and pass on the word to never serve in the Canadian Armed Forces.
It is in my opinion, that it'll be pretty hard to rule a country without any support of ones military.
AND BTW
Stop saying and Canadians we (We as nation should despise it when he says Canadians as thou he owns us, remember only 30 odd percent voted for our so called leader)!
Just because your daddy had money and was the PM doesn't mean you as the son are entitled.
So, instead of saying "As we Canadians" during question period (say "me" or the liberal party") don't drag us true Canadians through the puddle of water as well.
And for those who forgot why we voted for the Cons years ago....Let me remind you of their tactic, "We'll lower the GST to 5%", now that was great idea to get voted in was it not...but the province's raised their taxes and we still ended up paying 15%.
And I promise I will stop fighting Veterans in court and re-establish your life long pension.
BS
When will enough be enough!

as for election day i have to look hard at that seeing options are not that good i have to look at one that took it away and say there is nothing more they going to do and the other that did increase from 75% to 90% and increase the lump sum even through i didn't so far get everything they promised putting the ones that took it away to begin with is not an option in my books
