Critical Injury benefits
I was wounded in 2006, I applied for this and was denied. How is PTSD work for eligibility for this benefit? Has the prerequisites for this benefit changed? Thanks.

Re: Critical incident benefit
Well I'll be expecting 3 denials as well, but since you and a few others seem to have won ,I'll be getting my lawyer to use those cases as proof in my case, so maybe they wont/can't deny me as they already set the president

Having said that my psychological condition is what finally won me the case despite being seriously injured from a SVBIED.
Good for you and glad to hear you were finally successful! Sad that the 3 "D's" are still happening. 8 years is a long time....and you never gave up.....again...kudos! I hope others won't give up.

How long did you wait for an outcome from opening to decision?
It can't be as long a wait as regular disability claims...or can it?
I am not familiar....sorry can't help.....however, in the link below (you may have seen/read it) the first veteran to be awarded this benefit "solely" on PTSD! Which is a milestone and precedence to say the least. I hope those seeking this benefit will find the process and the eligibility criteria not so stringent.
