hi red it is my understanding if you are tpi you have to apply for cpp to get ltd.they made me apply and in the end gave me nothing.

I am on CPP Disability and this is what I know because I asked.
Once you are in receipt of CPP Disability the amount IS deducted from your LTD.
If you are in receipt of a Military Pension it is reduced. The CPP payment made up for the reduced pension rate plus I still made a few more dollars.
When you hit 65 a CPP Disability automatically turns into CPP payment and you don't have to do any paperwork.

CPP, VAC, and SISIP - Zero Client
As I am reading these posts I frequently hear about peope who are Zero clients like me who are getting CPP. I am also TPI but was told that applying for and then getting CPP has major drawbacks when we reach the age of 65. SISIP of course would take their share which would have negated getting CPP. So my question is to those getting CPP how does it work for you and is it worth applying for?
