Re: ELB clawback ceases this month
Robbie, if you are a zero sum client, who has been approved for ELB, the only way that you will not get the full amount of ELB is if you get the LTD reinstated by SISIP, who is the first payer. I would look at it this way, both both can be a positive. If you get reinstated by SISIP, then you get retro-active money all the way back to your release, while IF VAC pays ELB retro (which still hasn't been decided according to VAC staff) the farthest back it can go is to 2006, if someone applied the day the NVC was implemented. But if SISIP doesn't reinstate your monthly benefit, you will still get the 24 months post release money, plus interest, your full monthly ELB entitlement from VAC (plus possible retro money) and you never have to worry about dealing with some of the complete and utter A-holes at SISIP ever again.

Re: ELB clawback ceases this month
Hey Dennis, I have a hard time with this as I still can not label the term ELB. I still can not for the life of me understand how SISIP denies me money that I know i should have received way back in 2003, but due to how much VAC kicked in and with my CF Pension I was making too much. Now a VAC clerk tells me that I no longer qualify for ELB benefits from VAC? ok, now I have no idea where this is going, could I have misunderstood this clerk as saying that my ELB is no longer being clawed back, because if so why did she say your name is not on our mail out list to SISIP, yet I am a ZERO SUM Member. I know this is just for info I do not expect an answer as I do know your team has my info and they are actually doing a good job. I am just freaking frustrated.

Greatfoot,
Don't forget the ones that were told that they could not apply because they were on the books with SISIP even as Zero-Sum.

Happy for ya Dennis, good to see everybody is being looked after except those in dire straights "Zero Sum Claimants" SISIP.... I didn't realize ELB was even part of the lawsuit. I thought it was the illegal deductions of our DVA from SISIP entitlements. LOL my life sucks.....

ELB clawback ceases this month
Ladies and Gentlemen
The notices, from VAC, were mailed out Friday past announcing an end the the ELB clawback of VAc monthly disability payments. I received a verbal heads up this am from inside the department, then sure enough, in my mailbox was my new fincial worksheet/calculations showing the end to this ELB clawback.
Cheers and thanks to Dave for the appreciative note on another thread.
