Thanks for the article post Nemo. A very good read and quite validating for an 80's soldier like me...Budget cut! Budget cut! (We never said bang bang.)

Re: The Unprocessed Gang Part 2
I agree with the legion and considering whether u r a vet or not. well, u r. i joined in late 70's. never liked legion cause as a woman, it definitely was an old boys club. and later, it was clear that unless you were ww1 (all dead now), ww2 (nearly all dead - youngest being around 90 or so...so we could have ww2 vets for another 10 plus years) or korean vet, then u did not count. well, here is a good article for you sapper. enjoy.

Re: The Unprocessed Gang Part 2
The sun is shining...its about 12 degrees here...the view is amazing...and the people are so damned nice! Yes the wife and I are enjoying the island, walking the beach daily with our Juno. I want to get to the north end of the island where that old listening base was!? Cant remember the name but I had read about it. Hope you are welcoming winter and the beautiful snow. I am going to miss it...NOT!
I am considering joining the Legion again. It seems there is a very large Vet community here and I would probably fit in. The Legion where I lived in Kenora was not welcoming at all. If you weren't a WWII vet you just didn't fit in.
Off to the beach. Have a great day.

Just trying to add some levity to an otherwise slow thread. No harm meant. Still supporting those that wait. Take care all.

Re: The Unprocessed Gang Part 2
Yes absolutely, I sure do hope, that those remaining unprocessed members, get processed soon. You have waited to long now, it's time to pass over those claims over to MC. I do not know if this piece of information is of any truth, but I just read where, and unprocessed member was told by SISIP today, that the processed claims will be handed over to MC, this Friday.

Re: The Unprocessed Gang Part 2
It sure is nice to see that most of the CSAT members have been processed. So many have been given back funds, that were rightfully ours to began with. It has been a long time coming, but we have finally now received it. More good news for some, as the four Month back pay, is coming in the near future. Another possible victory, will be the win of the CPI adjustment, which if won, will mean more money for us. For those remaining members that have yet to be processed, you are not forgotten, we stand with you all, until the end, until each and everyone of you has been processed. It seems as though SISIP is finalizing your claims, to ensure that you will all receive your cheque's by the end of this Month. For all the Widows, who would have guessed the latest information regarding the Legal forms that you must fill out, in order to have your claims processed. One would think that these forms would have been sent out to you all by now, I have no clue as to why they were not, but I am sure there is a reason for it. So to all the widows of the class, I wish that these forms are sent to you in a speedy manner, so that you can all finally be processed.
