Stay on top of the CRA !!!

I spoke with CRA yesterday and was advised my tax return is being reviewed but agent could not see anything further on the system. Whether true or not I don't know. She did say the system said they have June 28th as the latest for return to be completed. Where that date comes from I don't know. When I asked about the 1198 being used agent said she wouldn't know it doesn't say anything in the system normally. Again, I don't know if this is accurate or not. I guess I have to wait to see the outcome and go from there. I am hoping next week some on csat get their results and that they are positive ones.

as for coffee time, I don't think it was an attack as much as it was defending the hard work and dedication in getting it right by Recon.

Received my NOA and in that NOA there was no T1198 on the summary, Requested a T1Adjustment and my 2013 Tax Return in now being Reassessed and should be ready by June so the story goes. If you have not being given a clear summary sheet that explains your usage of the 1198 then you will have to ask for a T1 Adjustment on the QRLSP period.

Everyone s taxes are different but the form does work.isnt it good to give people hope.cra have been overlooking the form they have admitted that.if you dont use it then you'll never know .that to me is reason enough

I am so glad to see your words ..... it will calm some who are expecting results like Navrat and Recon031  ..... I witness the attacks on "Coffeetime" his polite attempt to balance the excitement. As time goes on we will see the true results and what most of us expect via the tax man. There will be few surprises.....      This place is full of people being forgiven because they suffer from PTSD  well men no excuse for mistreating your brothers. BE NICE !

liver your NOA doesn't show the 1198 calculations you will have to wait to get the separate calculation sheet so you can see all the calculations so you can double check it to see if they made an error.

I have received my NOA and paid what was due... it stated that I was entitled to a special tax calculation,  and a separate form will be sent to me.   I have received all that so my question:   once this is received is there any reason for me to request a recalculation on my taxes (they obviously used the 1198).   I still owed money back... and my retro was from 2002..    thanks

Thanks Nav for your most positive post and outcome!! We are in the same boat as far as being long time guys for retro...I hope CRA sends me a nice return!! I was afraid of the tax penalties, so I paid the$$$$$   at the bank on may 1st...wish I had waited...
