Re: CPPD assessment by my Doc late..11 years late, Why did CF doc not do this?
Well last update to this shame called CPPD. I was refused CPPD as I dont have enough contributions in past 6 years. I have over 30 years of contributions with last 25 years at the maximum....but since I tried to get on with my life and years past you time out to claim CPPD. Makes no sense as disabled is disabled contributions is contributions and qualifying for benefits should be based on what you put into the program not when you chose to claim it. Just another example of how unfair the CPP system is to those of us that started the system in that first 10 years. We get ripped off but the over 65 crew who put little into the system reps all the benefits. Worst thing is the next generation of CPP people have to work longer to get benefits and will get less then those who applied in my generation. Its a shame!

I was thinking that I might have a problem getting CPP because of my amount of years of contribution.

well buds CPPD may not help you financially but if you get it you may not have to deal with a huge CPP fight when you hit 65.

thing is if you don't get your CPPD you may end up having issues when you try to apply for CPPD . ya can deal with it now or try to deal with in when you are 65 . plus some get little to no SISIP / ELB due to being zeroed out or minimised by a large military pension so it would put more money on your pocket .

Read the medical requirements to meet CPPD and do not qualify as I can still breath.

Actually SISSIP are asking the apply for CCPD or CPP because they are the last to pay out, if you do not qualifie simply tell them wy and they will pay to you the part CPPD or CPP that you do not qualify for.

firebird options 1 and 2 are the actions you can take if you don't meet the time requirement set above . you paid 20 years so go get what you deserve .

Still not enough CPP contribution years. Just want to know what to tell SISIP when they tell me to apply for CPPD, if I win my appeal and get LTD. I do not and will not spend money on Doctors reports and CCPD applications if I do not meet the prerequisite.

Hey Rucksack, Print off all of the forms for CCP(D). Read everything. There is a lots of stuff there. The next time you go to see your specialist, take every thing with you and have him fill it out. It is not something you or I should be completing! If you have seen a number of specialists, put all your documents into piles identified by the different Drs/Specialists. If you can, you can flag separate important areas of diagnosis which will make it easier for your Dr to find, which will make him happier and keep him from wasting time. (better for the both of you) I was in from 1977-2006 and did not apply until 2013. It will work out for you, just take your time and take deep breaths when things look shitty.
