Yes, propat you are right, your cpp rate freezes and at 65 you are not penalized for not working all those years, make sure you all apply for CPPD

Also I do not think sisip will deduct cpp premiums for the guys who get it but I a not sure about unemployment insurance and also income tax will be deducted

further to my last being on cppd freezes your cpp catagory so it doesnt drop so if he can now longer work he should apply yesterday it will be extreamly important.apply for the dtc as well it helps.

Yes, CppD is taxable and only the pensioners portion,Recon is right, some of my children are over 18 and the get it ,the children's amount because they are in school, but they have to declare it on their income tax returns

With regards to CPPD , Sisip Only deducts the pensioner portion only from your 75 % .

ie..... with 4 kids CPPD is $1895mth , pensioner portion that Sisip deducts is $925.68 permth. from your 75 % and never changes as you are indexed .

as of now everything but dva comes off sisip.everything but dva pia and supplement come off elb.aprox $325.00 will come off army pention(depending on the math)if on cppd.

is CPP (D) and VAC ELP taxable? like SISIP...

CPPD will be deducted from ELB as it is a form of income replacement, CPPD is also deducted from sisip ltd

As VAC is not income, as well as allowances from them, maybe going back to pre-2006 would be better? Seems like BS baffles minds, mine...lol

when my dh was approved for CPPD part of it came off his regular CF superannuation and the rest came off his SISIP. I assume it will be the same for ELB. I think it was pretty close to 50/50 for the deductions.

Husband gets regular CF superannuation plus VAC and PIA+Supplement. It appears that ELB will start at the end of the month, (he was approved in May but not financially eligible as too much VAC income). I have now gotten him to apply for CPP disability, don;t know if he will be approved or not but if he is will the CPPD be deducted from the ELB? What should people be receiving and what gets deducted from what? Can somebody answer this for me?
