Pipper...the biggest thing you have to be careful of is the perception of totally disabled from your doctor (a GP) and a specialist (Psychologist). Make sure your GP is fully aware of ALL your issues, not just the physical.

piper just give them the paperwork you have, from the info you gave I am confident you are entitled to it, as mot have already told you your understanding of the definition and there definition is not necessarily the same, if you were unable to work you were unable to work, as oiler stated "unable to fulfill gainful employment"

That makes alot of sense .. But I only got a letter that was requested for Sisip outlining my medical condition since time of release . is there more paper work I need for my Doctor ?

Hey man I don't have PTSD but back problem. As George's said follow what they say get your Doc to fill the appropriate paper work and you well see .. If the doc concurs with you and she feels your are unable to fulfil gainful employment thenSISUP will or should be a nonissue Your version of totally disable and theirs is totally different .. It was very easy if your doc is on board and you do have the paper work filled out right .. Just take your time and myself would not put to much on your forms.. I let my doc tell them what was wrong not me... They are used to it and you can not incriminate yourself .. As a solder we usually say we are better then we are I guess that's what I mean.....hope this helps

pipper the process is simple, send in the ino they want, your defenition and there defenition of totally disabled are two things. Send them the info, follow there request and you may be in for a big surprise! I sent what they asked for and I am now LTD that is boocoo money. SISIP is playing b the rbok this tim around.

I Don't Understand Sisip/Manulife .. Need some clarification
I recieved a letter a week ago fron Sisip for info on my state of Health and Income since time of release .. I was medically Released june 2003 with PTSD . vAC awarded me 5/5 70 % .. I was Zero sumed . A letter I recieved from Sisip/Manulife wanted me to state that I'm totally disabled .. I can't!! and I,m sure alot o f US can't either .. I'm sure this Case is Won thanks to Dennis Manuge .. I thought LTD was for the the injuries we recieved while Serving and on our Release .. So Why is Sisip/Manulife making this so dificult .?.
Small Note: My Doc said She would be happy to write a Letter but the way it is worded only a small amount of people will ever see any Ltd :_ and I should take this to Lawyer first ..
Thank in advance for any Advice
