Re: Stay on top of the CRA !!!
Just remember that the DTC will only go back as far as you've been deemed disabled enough to qualify. Example, I was granted the DTC in 2008, but it was only back dated to 2004. So if you just got the DTC, but CRA only deems that you were disabled enough to qualify 5 years ago, you can only request adjustments for those 5 years. If you have a "My Account" with CRA, it will tell you when it goes back to, if it didn't tell you in the actual paperwork. It will also show whether or not it was used in their calculations each year, because I discovered that they didn't do the readjustments for 2004 and 2005, so once I get this years adjustment completed, I will be requesting those ones be done as well, and since I was still serving during those years, I paid a shite load of taxes.

Re: Stay on top of the CRA !!!
Well Rifleman, I've been getting that same message since the first week of of June, and was told by CRA today that I should have my notice possibly by the end of this week or next, so that is basically 3 months. She said she didn't have access to my new balance, so I' don't know how I fared, but anything has to be better than owing another $4000 for just 2 years of retro.

Re: Stay on top of the CRA !!!
Oh Ok got it, you have already been approved, and you are waiting for your back pay.
Can't remember how long it took for mine as it was some time ago.
Perhaps some one who got it recent can answer that one for you.
Nice to hear that they are processing it,
just got to like that.

Re: Stay on top of the CRA !!!
One of my friends got the same message, with respect to the DTC,
he waited a couple of Weeks from the time he received his message,
he then contacted them to inquirer about the status,
the agent told him he had qualified, and was approved, so he was happy about that,
but the online CRA account did not show it.
So it might be a good Idea to give them a call once a Week or so.

Re: Stay on top of the CRA !!!
No they won't get their XXXX together.
Why, because they don't care, they were given a heads up about our situation,
and for some reason they just continue with taken their time. ( It is the time for business returns now)
It would not surprise me if some will get their termination papers over this, then again,
perhaps not, as it does not seem to be a big deal to them.
What is lacking here is a complete miss of communication between those who want answers,
and those who are suppose to be in a position to provide those answers.
Forget about calling the 1-800 line as they know less then you,
wait for the system to take it's course, that is what they all say.
For once, is their anyone over there who has the XXXXX to bypass the system,
get on the horn, and get some answers, no I have not found one, leaving me to go through my MOP.
The 2014 cluster XXXX of the year.
