It has been almost 5 years since taking the position as the ombudsmen, and for the most part, mr Parent has done a pretty good job, even if a little to placid for some Veterans, especially when compared to his predecessor. But his contract is almost at an end, and I just read a retirement message for an old boss of mine, who is retiring next month as a CPO1. The message states that his second career is, and I quote, " specific to Veterans issues, with the federal government.". If this man is truly the next Ombudsmen, or even working in the OVO or VAC, then we are gaining a true ally. Hopefully I will hear more in the near future.
