Step 2! That's not right. It means they don't have all the needed docs. I'd call your CM and say what's the hold up??
If they need docs, get them. If they need reports... Vac should order them.

Thanks for the info. I'm currently at 18 weeks. Hopefully it gets resolved by my birthday!(April).

That means that your area DA person has gathered all the relevant documents needed to make a decision and forwarded them to Charlottetown for a decision. Your MyVac account should say "Step 3" under your DA application. It's supposed to be 16 weeks from the time it makes it to Adjudication to the time you have a decision. I believe that it is actually 22-30 weeks currently.
That's great news though! Atleast it's moving along.

Well, My CM brought it up at one of my monthly face to faces with her, and I said No we won't start it now because
I still had the Spine specialist coming up, and ya Know I wanted to wait and see what he say's just in case there
was something that he could do, So ya I didn't want to jump the gun and get it started till all things were looked at.

Well his news when I seen him was I was not a surgical Candidate, or there is no surgical intervention on my back
currently, that they can do for me..

So my next visit I showed her the report from the spine specialist, and said well seems I am out of options now, and
she agreed, and said to me, well you have gone everywhere and anywhere in reference to my Medical Conditions
And said, So ya lets start the TPI Process.

So I have 2 Occupational Assessment forms to get filled out 1st, 1 from the Doctor, and the 2nd From the OSI clinic
And once she gets them back she's gonna do the internal Board with the VAC nurse and who ever else, showing
I've done / been everywhere trying to get things done, and Done the Medical regime, and still no improvement and or
will ever be.

But for My CM, she just asked to get those forms done to Have Additional Information in hand, and can show beyond
that every thing has been done and documented.

Aside from getting the TPI designation not really to much more ya get except the Extended ELB, and can apply for the
PIA Supp, it's not like any of them get back dated I don't think to the Time of Applying, like mine would be the PIA Supp
if anything.

So it can take less then 1 week to get decision, except if they want the reports and stuff to have more ammo to get
the TPI justification guess it can be more then 16 weeks, depending on who they want these reports from.

Putting my cynicism aside, I'm certain? hoping? that at least some of those folks in Charlottetown really give a rat about us and can read between some very very fine lines...
God forbid quota's.

Remember folks, those making decisions at head office in Charlottetown don't want to run themselves out of a job.

If they were to take the common sense approach and the respectful to disabled Veterans approach, they can use the benefit of doubt in 80% of the cases and have those Veterans approved so they can move on and deal with their condition or conditions.

They won't simply because they want to keep their own jobs.

Iceman and Rusty...

Yesterday Vet1234 wrote " There should be no real wait for a TPI decision. If you have all the doc reports, your CM can bring it to the panel in your local office to make the decision within a week. "

That is correct. For my tpi, I applied on a Monday and received my approval from my cm by mail on Friday. Yup, one week because cm's have the authority for making THAT (tpi) approval.

Of course my cm had all my current doc's and I've been on their books for a long time.
But what if someone approaches VaC for the very time ? And for tpi ? That one week could take a lot longer without reports, doc's etc. That's cdf.

What I was trying to differentiate earlier were WHAT the decisions were for.
i.e. one week for tpi - versus - 16 weeks to infinity for other STUFF Twisted Evil

JMO and hope that clears any mud.

Stay safe all.

Decisions go through Charlottetown. Gathering reports and data to make the decisions is regional.

Excuse my ignorance, but I thought all da decisions went through Charlottetown? If they are regional doesn't that allow for unfair advantages/disadvantages?

Newf,, the backlog is a huge stack of claims sitting on to few stafff members across VAC and  in PEI.  I final got my decision  in December for my punctured ear drum, 11 months for a simple award that they had all my info and medical from previous claims.

One thing I did, I called them every month, asked for a manager and once I got that number I called and called. I mention my mental health issues, anexity, PTSD and feel that got there butts in gear.  Not 100% sure that helped but they should flag certain files in some sort of priority.  Not a fan of the squeaky wheel gets to the top of the pile but if ones situation demands action then I am all for it.  Like that Vet that needed help asking JT at his cross county love fest meetings which I hope at the end of the meetings  he wishes he never did them and realizes that a lot of Canadian citizens are hurting because of his slow actions in many areas not just the Veterans isssues that are being neglected and slow to come forward with a positive out come.

Hi Rustytheviking - You want to hear messed up. I was in the same wait period as you, for my TPI. My CM was useless. Someone on here told me in the wait period to put in for CPPD. I did, and told my CM. She said well if you get CPPD, that will be justification for TPI. 4 months later I got CPPD, told her, sent my CPPD approval letter, and 2 weeks later was approved TPI. So it is different fm one Vet to another. Which is way wrong..Johnny Out,,VVV..
