Re: Srb being eliminated
Well, if you know exactly how much ELB you would have received, if there had been no deductions, from the application date, to April 1st. you would just need to multiply that amount by 2%. But that amount will still be taxable.
For example, I know I applied for ELB in march 2012, so it's basically 7 full years. My 75% amount, at the time was roughly $4000. So all I did was multiply that by 84 months, to get $336000. So the SRB on that amount would be $6720 gross. But that is the low end, because I did not calculate COLA, or the increase to 90%.

Re: Srb being eliminated
Yes, we are being paid this in Sept. Most likely at the end of the month, with the rest of the benefits.

Re: Srb being eliminated

Re: Srb being eliminated
Bonjour,

Re: Srb being eliminated
It is based on the total amount of the ELB a Veteran received, before any deductions, as long as they were deemed DEC at some point before March 31st.

So how are they calculating the payout? Is it the same for everyone or based on how old you are? Amount? A guess?
• Veterans who were entitled to receive the Earnings
Loss Benefit prior to 1 April 2019 due to a diminished earning capacity, and did not receive the Supplementary Retirement Benefit.”,
What about veterans who were receiving ELB prior to 1 April 2019 but it was not due to a DEC, but just being in the REHAB program.?

If the VAC managers are that incompetent, that they can't organize a one time payment, when given a years notice, then they need to to be fired. What makes it worse, is that these delays aren't even going to result in an increase to the eventual payments, so they will get to keep any interest earned on that 53 million, for those 6 months.
