Re: VAC excessive increase in response time
I never did as he suggested. I just let nature take its course. Everyone is in the same boat of wait times . Except perhaps those that are flagged applicants due to hardships . I did call every week to follow up on my applications . This is a top brass problem and we all know it needs to be addressed. The option he suggested I believe is for those that believe the process failed .. my only issue was wait times .. same as everyone else.

since this person is no longer a member here, does anyone know if what they say is really an option or is it just some trolling goose chase.?Guest wrote:

Copy and paste what you have written above and address it to the deputy minister via Vac Account. They will follow up with a lady on behalf of the DM who will investigate and keep you updated. The file will still take time. You will have more peace of mind I did.

Re: VAC excessive increase in response time
My applications showed up almost immediately on Myvac account after I applied at step 3. Like 2-3 days to show up. My decision was awarded on the 3rd .. I only noticed due to payment changes on myvac account. This morning I recieved the decision letters and financial worksheets through myvac account.
P.s 100% back pay went to Daughters University. I spent it all at one place

Thanks, Ppclicaper! Quick question: Did your applications show up in your "MyVacAccount"? I'm asking because I applied end March and my have yet to show up there.
Thanks in advance.
P.S. Don't spend all your $$ in one place

Re: VAC excessive increase in response time
I understand .. been on VAC benefits since 2002. My first application was done in hospital over a course of a year. VAC states working on February 2019 applications . If there are people that applied almost 2 years ago for CIAS .. and have not heard back. Start making phone calls something is dreadfully wrong.
It was only an update my friend 🙂. Few on here applied the same time I did . The backpay will be good. From my hand to my daughters university in Edmonton 🙂

Re: VAC excessive increase in response time
PPCLICAPER- Consider yourself lucky it's only 18 weeks some have been waiting over a year. Some CIA/CIA Supplement Applications go back to September 2017, and some reassessments and departmental Reviews go back to Jan 2018, though I am advised
that most of these are non-standard, complex claims or claims that were held pending additional information.
Good luck

Re: VAC excessive increase in response time
Applied CIAS and CIA(review level) mid February.. they have been working on February files for about a month. 17 weeks and counting 👍
I get the ole they are in adjudication...and I say yes since middle February 😳. Than the ole excuse .. I think I call now cause the random excuses. Backlogged , March training for staff , the April 1st transition, working on February applications, at the adjudication process, and no clue on a estimate. I can play the waiting game no issues at al. I just do not like the run around and no updates .. hate excuses
