Re: REASSESSMENT REQUEST OF CIA LEVEL
I shall post the results of my APSC reassessment request as I have done with past requests. Hopefully it doesn't take 77 weeks. All the best.

Re: REASSESSMENT REQUEST OF CIA LEVEL
mine is process as well, people should post their outcome here so others can judge just how long it takes these days, or if they are denied, under what criteria.johnny211 wrote:Air log - Good luck. I hope it’s faster then my 1 1/2 yrs..

Re: REASSESSMENT REQUEST OF CIA LEVEL
johnny211,
77 weeks to hear back with respect to your reassessment request! That is very long. I submitted my APSC reassessment request this morning. I did reference your advice to have them review the in-house nurse assessment when they complete my reassessment request. I check the VAC wait times but there is no wait time scenario for APSC reassessment. The waiting starts...

Re: REASSESSMENT REQUEST OF CIA LEVEL
sorry , l guess this question was meant for Johnny or whoever said they were approved.AirLog wrote:Unknown Soldier,
I haven't been approved to go from level 3 to 2 as of yet. But if I apply in October 2020 and if I am approved then my new level of 3 would be effective as of October 2020 regardless if it takes 2 months for approval or 18 months. So back payments would be the "ordre du jour."

Re: REASSESSMENT REQUEST OF CIA LEVEL
l apologize if I’ve asked you this once before, but if you waited 18 months for a reassessment and went from. $500 to $1000, additional pain and suffering tier 2, did VAC back pay you 18x$500 ($9000), or did they just start you at a $1000 a month on the day you were recognized, or something else?johnny211 wrote:Air log - Yes xnurse is right. I was basically in the same boat as you. I used my AA in home nurse assessment, and my latest pscy assessment as evidence to move up a level on the now APSC. 2 wks ago , after 77 wks, I was moved to level 2. If you go ahead with the reassessment, include yr latest physical and mental assessments as evidence. One important thing is you have to state clearly on yr reassessment, that you have attached, or want the adjudicators to look at, and take those docs into account as new evidence. Because it’s been my experience, if you don’t tell them, they won’t bother to look at yr new assessments. Go for it, and good luck..Johnny Out..VVV

Re: REASSESSMENT REQUEST OF CIA LEVEL
Good advice Xnurse and Johhny211. I thought that they would automatically look at my complete file if they were to do a reassessment. Personally, I don't want VAC to do another in-home assessment. One was done about 18 months ago. Nevertheless, I will be submitting a reassessment request based on the fact that I have now been approved for CPPD and the DTC. I do realize that these are different programs with different criteria that needs to be met for an application to be successful so, I figure that this might be enough to approve me for level 2.

Re: REASSESSMENT REQUEST OF CIA LEVEL
I would reapply. Mostly because since your last application they’ve reverted to the baseline CIA/Additional Pain and Suffering criteria. They were basically considering reassessment completely on the time served criteria at that time. Worst they can do is tell you no again.

REASSESSMENT REQUEST OF CIA LEVEL
Good morning,
Due to my disabilities I have been granted CIA Level 3, DEC, IRB, Canada Pension Plan Disability (CPPD) and the Disability Tax Credit (DTC). The last time I requested a reassessment of my CIA level was about 1.5 years ago when I was granted a DEC determination. I was denied my reassessment request at that time. Since then I have been approved CPPD and the DTC. Considering this would it be advisable to request a new reassessment of my CIA level even though I am not past the 2 year mark since my last reassessment?
