I believe all the non reinstated claims are being done first, the easy ones,then they will move on to ours that require more work. There might be a few zero sum done but out of 2000 files done so far I wonder how many are zero sum

So I read it that the more complicated files are being pushed back due to complexity ~ how does the treasury fund flow of money coincide with this? On LNVB, it was indicated that it is the flow of funds slowing down the processing of claims but it seems it is the files not the money being the hold up..

App updated next week, that means delivery will of occurred for the 906 already!

When we got these Friday, we were very concerned and went to the Court appointed monitor Deloitte and to DOJ. Here is what the monitor reported:

"We've had discussions with Manulife about progress to date. Manulife has indicated they are confident that they will be able to complete their work within the mandated timeline.

- This is despite the fact that Manulife was aware that the June output (906 claims) would bew less substantial than the May output (1,141 claims), due to time lost to refining their progress in early June.

- While we understand the process will be more complex for future subpopulations of the Class, our understanding is that this impact realtively insignificant as the majority of time is spent reviewing the work completed, and these steps will not be substantially different."

So, that is what Manulife is stating and they remain under a court order to do so. I can't go to Court and do anything at this stage as they have three months to go.

Some zero sums have been paid so I don't think there is anything to process being based on zero sum but perhaps complexity, but I am speculating.

My appeal is through the independent adjudicator not Laura Bruneau.

firebird, your first two year retro may still come to you within the six Month time frame April 15th / Oct 15th.

Your appeal through Laura Bruneau, if successful will reinstate you, therefore that part of your retro will be exempts, from the six Month timeline.

It only states that six Months from the time manulife receives the proper documents for those who are in group 1, 2, 3. 4.

So as I understand your situation ,you are not part of those groups ?
