Re: SISIP APP (Assorted Topics)
Rex most "honest" civilians would not have a clue but hackers, identity thieves do have a clue.
Also clients released under their SIN is the ID file number with SISIP.

Re: SISIP APP (Assorted Topics)
Personally I do not see how releasing our VAC client number by themselves would be a breach of privacy, as most civilians wouldn't even have a clue as to what they are. How about they at least use the VAC client number to log onto the new app, at least this will mitigate the problems of a large number of class members not having a service number, without "releasing" the information to the public.

And those released with under 10 years of service are not tracked by pension account information..

Re: SISIP APP (Assorted Topics)
So I have a new SIN, and yet my old number stays with me but inactive the rest of my life,
According to most credit agencies I didn't exist until my new SIN came into effect..

Re: SISIP APP (Assorted Topics)
As meathead pointed out,
many members do not have service numbers as that came back into use after the Royal Commision into Somalia released over 800 members personal info including SIN numbers to the public,
bringing about the Ombudsmans office and reinstatement of Service numbers..

Re: SISIP APP (Assorted Topics)
Thank you M,C. for providing this app, should help a lot of us who can take advantage, and be able to plan our time away from home, in the coming months.
Hope it does not take months, to sort out the retro but you never know.
At least most of us will be able to use this app or borrow a friend or family members iphone or i-pad. ect...
Cheers
John.

Re: SISIP APP (Assorted Topics)
OK I am happy to here that MC is recognizing the stress, that not being able to know, if we are indeed on the list or not. Kudos to them for taking action to make it less stressful. However I just have to ask this of my fellow CSAT members. Am I the only one that does not own and app ?

Re: SISIP APP (Assorted Topics)
As explained to me by Peter...we were totally stymied by privacy laws from releasing service numbers or VAC numbers.
Both sides, SISIP and MC are under strict rules to make sure our privacy is protected by all means possible. So no emails or phone calls.

No Puddles, not paranoid, you are being proactive and cautious ~ you have to do what you have to do. I am certain others may also have the same concerns.
