Received my Retro email on Friday and the money today. It included a top-up for a Disability award that I haven't even received yet...It was awarded on March 29th...so there's still more money coming bounce

Same here as well... they called me and said I would see the retro amount in a couple weeks, but I'm also waiting deposit of my award from March 29th as well

My calculations calculate it at $6,399

You have to subtract from the 2014 new table, not 2017.

2014 at 15% new table = $51,590

2014 at 15% old table = $45,191

$51,590 - $45,191 = $6,399 retro.

I am trying to figure out what my lump sum payment should be, and when I called VAC the analyst told me to expect anywhere between 8 and 11 thousand. I received 15% in 2014 ($45191.29). When I subtract that from the 2017 total of 54000 I get a total of 8808.71. Is there more to the calculation or is this it. Thanks in advance.

Today, i finally got the retro in my bank account. it was exactly what i figured.
It was complicated as i had one DA, that got converted to a PA after the award. that is why there was the delay.

one thing though, myVac does not show any message message notifying me of the award, and there was no letter in the mail

i phone VAC, and she said there are serious issues with myvac and messages, strictly due to the high volume because of the retro.

there was a paper letter sent, so that should be in the mail anytime as well

Absolutely not.

Basically, what you are saying is that between three awards, you were paid a total of $4950.

What VAC is saying is that you were supposed to have been paid roughly $15000, leaving a top up of $1943.

But even if the three awards are calculated separately, it should look like this.

2007 -1% = $3039
2011 -2% = $6501
2013 -2% = $6810
Or = $7486, to bring it up to the max award of $17026 for 5% disability rating.

you would then deduct previous payments of $4950, leaving a top up of roughly around $11400 minimum
