2007 was approximately $260,000 as I got a 20% award in the amount of $53,000 and something.

Hey TEENTITAN ............... Luvin the Pic you've posted , too bad it's not mandatory to show your face on here , I think there would be less Conflict .

If anyone at has has the REMAINDER of YEARS not posted but can give them to me , i'll fit in as many as possible so that everyone who had a PAYOUT between 2006 & 2016 can quickly figure out their RETRO CHECK which will HOPEFULLY be sent in the New Year .

That is the problem were facing with our MVA and his staff.

They revise a BiII with language that is not understandable , and when they speak on the implementations they don't give us a plain English explanation on what or how it's going to pan out for Veterans.

ya bigrex here is the wording ya want to take a good look at .

reduced — for every calendar year FROM 2016 UNTIL the year in which the disability award was received .

seems to me they are only reducing the amount for 2017 and forward forward but nothing prior to that .

without the additional language added to " A "

" reduced — for every calendar year from2016 until the year in which the disability award was received — by a percentage calculated in accordance with the method of calculating the percentages by which the amounts set out in Schedule 3 to the Act are periodically adjusted; and"

anyone who has an appeal in say at 50% in 2015 and gets run through the ringer but finally wins their appeal in say 2020 going to 100% .

they would have to pay him 100% at the 2020 rate minus his original buyout .

the GOC would loose the COLA on 50% already payed to him on from 2017 till 2020 with no way to recoup it .

consequently the vet would get paid more than other vets by that amount .

What I think could be happening, is that they are going to pro-rate the old pay scale, as if the $360000 maximum had been achieved strictly through COLA, and pay retro accordingly. That would mean the maximum award could be pro-rated to around $290000 for 2006, which would bring the maximum amount to $360000 with the COLA that has been already calculated since 2006.

So they could assume the original amounts could similar to what I list below. Then simply increase these amounts by the set COLA for each year, until 2017

So someone that received a 100% award in 2006 of $250000, would get a top up of $40000. So, for myself, that has received three awards, totaling 25%, instead of simply getting $20000, to bring me up to the new amount for a 25% award, they could pay me $12000, which is the difference between the possible pro-rated awards, with the corresponding COLA, and what I actually received.

So just another $18,000 , oh well , money coming out of my wazoo.

hey recon no problem buds . ya bigrex after I posted about extrapolating one I got ta thinking about that very thing so I went to the legislation opened up the appropriate schedule and sure enough that's where it was.

It is actually part of the original legislation. All the increases since 2006, have simply been due to COLA.
