Re: Bursary Fund (Assorted Topics)
Agreed REX another thought process without thought, just veterans getting screwed over again, but hey we got a portion of our stollen wages back with out a thanks or sorry and we paid big bucks to a law firm hell bent over heels to get it right, but as I see it the only ones who have righted this ship is those here on CSAT who are helping each other out by trial and error thats just an opinion.

Re: Bursary Fund (Assorted Topics)
I think it is ridiculous that we have to wait to apply for our own money. All they do with these limited lotteries, is reduce peoples chances of actually accessing the funds when they actually need it. Especially considering that the class only has access to the funds for 5 years before the remainder is transferred to VAC to be offered to ELB recipients.

Re: Bursary Fund (Assorted Topics)
The news headline today, May 18 2014, shows Aboriginal Residential School Survivors are very angry at a bursury fund set up to educate either themselves, children or grandchildren. It is a one time only payment of $3000 per person, but they are angered that is cannot be commuted to a cash payment. Most have grown children, with no desire to go to school. I wonder if Mr. Toope made another deal?? A nice gesture, but should have a choice.

Bursary received today in Comox BC.
With the two eldest in college and the youngest graduating high school this was a nice boost.
