Re: NEW ENTRY ON COURT DOCKET
Nailed Robbie, contrary to MC comments in court this was a difficult case it was not it was shit simple. Problem was the GOC is a big bully and some are affraid to fight it. This was probably the simplest case in Class Action history. Proof is out of pocket expenses to fight case was according the MC on the radio in December about 100k plus the pay of 3 lawyers (part time) over a couple years.
Even the main reason they won the argument in law was shit simple. If you were at the court 14 feb you will remember the BC lawyer Ward Branch praise up the moment they knew they had the case won. He claimed it was a Urika moment out of the blue one night by the young lawyer in 09 (forget his name Dan I think). It was during a late night difficult planning session...cause they were working so hard on it. He further claimed thats why they get paid the big money for this case cause you are paying for legal expertise to figure that stuff out. It was Ward Branches argument for the high fees to the Judge. Some moment I sent the exact legal argument to them in my first e mail back in 08. It did not take me long to find the key legal argument and I'm nobody.

Re: NEW ENTRY ON COURT DOCKET
I certainly agree Rex, I am wondering why the posturing now is this game not over. I wonder who really has a greater investment in this game, certainly not the GOC or they would have jumped in by now, certainly not SISIP as they have known for years that this whole freak show was illegal, and that leaves us, ok that was dumb, so why the delay I assume it has a lot to do with how many people can be notified by our legal team I guess playing with numbers 7500 of them and actually accounting for them real time has proven too much of a challenge for ur legal beagles. Probably the first real challenge in 5 years, just a theory, no offence anyone.

DJ, waiting until the payments are getting ready to be sent before requesting a signed address form, and then making it a prerequisite to getting paid, may not be a delay tactic, but it is an unnecessary delay none the less. They could have sent out these forms over the last several months, but instead they chose to wait. Why they chose to do things this way, only the lawyers know for sure.

Re: NEW ENTRY ON COURT DOCKET
and why would they be stalling?? THEY DONT HAVE THE MONEY YET! stop your paranoying...its bad for your health
why would they have a delay tactic? they want to get paid too! no?
And for the owed amount, you pay 8% on what you paid back not what you owe

Re: NEW ENTRY ON COURT DOCKET
It will be nice to get some sort of memo, because mailing ths address confirmation out just gives MC another 2 weeks time to figure things out. Sisip is ready , has the calculations , it's up to MC to get this rolling. Sisip has my address, they sent a letter to me every month, this is just a delay tactic for what I am not sure!

Re: NEW ENTRY ON COURT DOCKET
Nav, I can't see that happening. SISIP can't say a Veteran should have paid money back to them, thus the retro should be higher, and therefor more legal fees. Basically, SISIP should send the balance owing to MC, and that is the amount legal fees are taken from. If the money is already in your pocket, then that is where it should stay.

Re: NEW ENTRY ON COURT DOCKET
From what Peter said I believe anyone who owes sisip money will have to pay 8 percent legal fees on the amount!

Re: NEW ENTRY ON COURT DOCKET
That also answers the question "Are they taking 8% from the interest as well?"
His wording looks like it does.
