Agreed sence I have started charring my experience and have a part time job I have made a lot of progess. I now go to town, have a few friends and do not panic for two days before going to town. My spy has alsow given me tricks to calm down. Keeping mt brain buzy got me out of my state of constant war. I have lurned that you can't beat it but you can try to live with if. Getting back up cournts only if you get back up onces more than you fall.

Actually sisip did pay me for about 16 months before claw back and at that times I was a active fire fighter, workrd on the RIT team. They are well aware of my situation. At present they will pay back claw back for 2001 to oct 1012 until new check strated comming in. sisip Rep says if my situation is the same they will pay in the futur. They have sent forme to my doc and psy to confurm that my situation has not changed. If so they will pay in the futur, they have until april 31st to give me my answer.

I have to agree with Big Rex, So the only Advice I can offer you Mr. Dumont is to be very careful, what you think might not be employment to Sisip might be interpreted differently . I am in law enforcement and can not overstate on a daily basis how many reports are sent to our disability fraud division , my message to my former veterans, the Insurance companies are watching! Act Accordily.

Yes, Georges, I just hope it doesn't come back to bite you though. After all, for SISIP to deem you totally disabled, they have to decide that you are unable to perform any job whatsoever. Unfortunately they won't care if VAC allows your limited employment, it is completely dependent on what SISIP thinks, and I fear they will look for any excuse to reduce the amount of Veterans getting reinstated. Good luck

Re: CPP Disability and Undue Hardship Applications in Response To Sisip LTD
Well KyleRCR, not all fire fighterr fight fire, soon old and broke like me do paper work, report, investigations, planing, bying, selling ect.. I work part time and most of the work from home, the fire I do go to, I wear bleu which means I look for saffety problems, report them to the HQ and they take action according to the situation. My salairy for the year is 3000$ Most of the work is volentary. The jod i have was passed thous VAC, they payed for my training to qualify. The only real reasons for my doing the work is that it give me a social fire and I communicate whit my community. I live in the bush, no nabour for at least one KM, never left home or spoke to anybody. SPY recommended this activity as par of my resocialisation. Its a question of reabilitation and it only take 5 hours of my time a week. the rest of the time I try to better mu knowleged at home. This keeps my mind bussy and helps me not to go back in my dark corner. A place I no longer wish to visit. I hope you understand.

Georges, that sounds like an emotional and powerful conference you will have. I hope it leads to those personnel to take the steps and ensure they are covered for their injuries or potential injuries as front line emergency staff. You are doing great work there Georges. I am proud of you.
As for the pickles? No comment.

Mr. Dumont, After reading your posts I was wondering how you could be employed as a firefighter but still be deemed totally disabled for the purposes of this lawsuit?

OH sparrow, how I wish all men could get that point, Now day as a fire fighter I spend a lot of time and enrgie trying to explain that to police, ambulance personnel and firefighter. IT's like talking to a brick wall. Men just don't accept that they do crah and fall. This sunday I am giving a conference on PTSD to all of thous trade. It's not understandable how these men(how actually have friends on medical leave) do not get the point. This times after my conference I wil have a very badly burnt firefighter come end tell his story. I hope it will have some effect. That is easy to asses, after all four conference in the day we all take time to discust will the participants. Will I get two or three the others get 15 to 20. I'l let you know how it goes. No pickels tonight?

Same to you Seaboxer. It is very true that men have an especially difficult time expressing and documenting their military related illnesses for the purpose of validation and compensation. Firstly, they are supposed to be tough macho men and secondly because they are soldiers and soldiers carry on no matter what the consequences. There is a stigma attached to the disabilities that need not be there. We as females, tend to want to norture and find the root of the problem whereas men try to fix it and then hope it will go away. Gotta love you guys for trying but you deserve to have a voice and receive validation for your injuries just as much as females.

Wills Ridge,
I agree that is absolutely the hardest thing to do for all veterans is to sit down and write the narratives required for the applications; and for the male veterans it is a special type of torture.

Greatfoot,
I agree that it seems to be the desk the application goes across or perhaps the Region, sure seems to be that way with VAC. I was helping my Dad & son both with some VAC issues(1 retired after 35 yrs, the other still serving Infantry), so very different circumstances and disablities, both had horrible Case Mgrs and incredibly poor Client Relations. In fact my son was down this fall to Gagetown on a tasking and the issues he was having with his CM took about 15 minutes to recitfy when he went into the JPSU on Base here. Pretty sad!
