You calculate them separately and add the total of both which gives you your retro.

What have you been paid know total? Subtract that from $272,891 and that will be what you'll get

What have you been paid in total? Subtract that from $225,622 and that is your total.

I was told to do each award and base it on the year awarded. I have 4 awards, 2011,2013,2014,2016

in 2016 I received 168,000 at 64% the table shows $354,679 x.64 =226.56

so the new 64% is 226.56 then I minus 168,000(old award amount) minus 226.5 ( new amount) and end up with 58,600

It's clear from the previous weeks that the rank and file VAC employees have no clue. Ppl posting their answers had them all over the place. The calculators gi ven on their website is clearly what is taking place. This shouldn't be terribly shocking, it's exactly as was written in the actual law.

You'll get about $25,000 if u got 90% in 2008.

You take the adjusted max for 2008 ($310,000) and find what 90% of that is (your entitlement) subtracted by what you were paid. 90% of $310k is around $279k. Take away what you've been paid already ($254) and you end up with your payment ($25,000).

Seems like a shitty system.

year, percentage, money received, amount I should of received according to the veteran affairs table posted above.. then I took the difference of the two

2011 I received 5% (142000), according to the VA table, I should now receive 162240 = so the increase is 2000 about on the award

I'm unsure what you are trying to do? Is the % what you got in those year with the award amount?
