Sorry to hear that Ireland, something isn't right.
And the cracks in this system are beginning to show.
File an immediate appeal Ireland!

I got a payment for 2009 for 10% at 25237, the retro was only 233 dollars, when I did the math it was supposed to be around 6600. Is there something I'm missing here?

I'm no lawyer or even math wiz. But does anyone think this short change of the way they did there adjustment will go to a legal case? I'm sure someone sharper is onto it.

Disability Award Retro Letters
We all are hoping the same thing Vet1234! This was promised a long time ago and the Feds will always be suspect in my mind for waiting to fulfil this obligation.

Re: Disability Award Retro Letters
I spoke to VAC and they said that they are mailing out the letters in batches of approximately 2500 letters per day beginning today and that payments will go out by end of April.
Also be sure you have selected "paperless" communication on My VAC Account or you will get a letter in the mail as opposed to an electronic letter.

It sucks but you're not getting the difference between 2015 and the new max. It is being adjusted backwards by cost of living adjustments per year, so there is where your "$4900" went

Disability Top Up Amount
After receiving an email from VAC that I am eligible for a top up on my disability award, I went on the My VAC ACCOUNT and read the letter that was in my inbox which stated I am to receive $21,714.96 in the next 2 weeks. The first thing that I don't understand is that this letter should have came in the mail with an ink signature. The second thing that I noticed is that the top up is to be a maximum of $360,000. As, I was paid $153,349.11 in June 2015 at %50 disability, I find that I have been shorted $4935.94 for my top up.
The maximum amount in 2015 at the time of my disability award was $306,698.21 at %100 disability, therfore, 360,0000- 306,698.21= $53,301.79 at %100. I had %50 disability, so shouldn't I have half the increase of $53,301.79 divided by 2 = 26,650.90. Instead i receive $21,714.96, a difference of $4,935.94.
Any body else missing money and what can I do about this. I know it's intentional. What can I do? Did anyone else receive a letter in the mail? OR did you get the letter on the VAC Account, which I think is purely a fake with suggestive thinking.
The total amount I received in 2015 was $153,349.11 + $21,714.96 top up = $175,064.07. %50 percent of $360,000 is $180,000- original award of $153,349.11 = $26,650.90
$26,650.90
- $21,714.96
= $4,935.94 short

Re: Disability Award Retro Letters
I got my notice. It was close to what I originally calculated, but not what I was hoping for based on a recalculation. I was hoping they would do everyone based on the new maximum amount $360k, and not an indexed amount for the year they actually got theirs.

Just logged in successfully and got exact amount predicted by my good friends on CSAT. $$ to be deposited in 2 weeks. Problem now is which bills do I pay off first.

Re: Disability Award Retro Letters
No worries. That 'interest' in MyAccount was not anticipated by VAC. Why should there be such interest in that side on Monday? No worries, it will be up and running in 12 or 14 or ... whatever weeks they decide.
Keep smiling.
