My retro was given to MC in trust in the Month of September, the court orders that I get 5% interest up to September 2013 ?

hmmm teen plausible I suppose but seems to go against the post judgment application of the interest calculations in the court order. however it does seem to fall in line with the application of the pre judgment calculations but the date of may 1st she gave you seems inaccurate to me. ya see MC can collect legal fees for the month of may so sisip would have added the post judgement interest for the full month of may so MC could take their cut.

not saying a sisip employee would ever give out inaccurate info just pointing it out.

I agree with all, and this does bother me, Why , after all of us, reinstated or not, paid legal fees for their services in explaining this procedure and court dealings, have they not answered these questions, Sisip was told by the courts, but, the court order says everyone

Perhaps and email should be sent to Justice Barnes office, after all he is the one who signed the order.

Just got off the phone with SISIP and these are the calculations they were ordered to do by the courts

SISIP calculated retroactive payments up to May 1, 2012 which included the set percentages that were negotiated

The SISIP clients that had their LTD reinstated had a 4 month period were they were not payed their monthly LTD.

Those 4 months of pay not retro will have 5% interest applied to it.

So it's time to get the proper legal answer from our law firm that was hired by DM to answer this oddly worded Amendment.  After all is that not their job???

So anyone who can get thru to anyone at MC please do.  No one there talks to me and my emails are mysteriously deleted.  I think the Upper Law Society of Canada will be interested in knowing this.

Yes, one could take it, or look at it both ways, teen has made some good points, and what he stated makes logical sense. And that was my assumption as to the way it would play out. Now like propat says, the directive in the court order is clear, but it's difficult to get clarification. I believe that those members who were not reinstated, would now be in the position to clarify this. The question is simply this : QUESTION ASKED TO SISIP : I was not reinstated, however the court order states, Interest will be paid at 5% up until the retro funds have been handed over to MC in trust. Does this apply to me.

ya I want mine next year to nav but you know the GOC buds if they think they can tax it at a higher rate this year you can bet your bottom dollar you will get it this year maybe on dec 30th but this year.

Yup it's there. Seems pretty simply stated to me. "from May 1st 2012 to the date in which funds are released to MC in trust".

5% from jan 1 , 1996 to dec 31 , 2008
3% from jan 1 , 2009 to april 30 , 2012 and

5% from may 1 , 2012 to the date the amount is paid to MC in trust.

sory teen but if im not mistaken interest does not stop after may 2012 but in fact it is increased back up to 5% from that date until the date the members retro is sent to MC.
